I’ve got a jackplate on my DC Sabre FTD with 150hp 4-stroke Mercury though have a jackplate and seen a best of 66mph with a 25” Fury 3-blade raised a 1/4” over flush when solo and in cool weather. I’m not sure it makes a huge difference in top speed other than being able to raise the motor for a little less drag, so maybe 1mph. Prop choice is going be a bigger decider of speed and Tempest or Trophy is probably the best all around prop as I’ve got all 3, but Fury is the fastest if top speed is what you’re chasing.
You’re welcome, my boat came with a 24” Tempest. I could put it on the limiter and why I switched to a 25”, I’d recommend going up 1” at a time though. You should be able to run 61 by my calculations with the 23”, what rpms are you turning at 59?
Oh you have the Pro XS which has 2.08 gearing and can turn 6000rpm instead of mind with 1.92 and 5800 limiter. So you’re around 7% slip and supposedly it makes 5 more hp than the regular one I have. Theoretically a 24” would get you 61mph and a 25” 63mph all else equal, hope that helps.
