Hole Shot

I have a Basscat Cougar with 300 Pros XS my issue is hole shot I am running a 25P Fury and a 28P Bravo.

I was reading yesterday about Bob’s splash plate to help with hole shot has anyone ever tried them and what are your results.

Lastly I fish shallow water lakes so with all of the weight in the rear end do they make any other thing that would work for me.

We haven’t seen a significant gain when we tested jack plate bottom trays. We do believe most simply try to run too much propeller for their application and weight.

It’s like 36″ tires on your Jeep, it might turn them, but it won’t crawl or pull with them. But everyone has to try and we understand that.

That 25″ Fury should be alright, though a 24″ might be better if you have poles and larger batteries.

I run a 24 Fury with extra holes on my 2016 Cougar. I run a 2024 250 Pro XS and my hole shot is great. 4 AGM batteries and poles. The motor is new so I’m still breaking it in but I have seen 72 mph in it briefly
