I have an o4 Cougar FTD with a Evinrude 225 HO. The boat is very fast and I just love the boat. I need to re-Prop it. I fish Mainly Tournaments and carry a very full load. Full Gas, Full Wells, Full of Fish and gear. Currently I have a 28 Trophy and it looks like a small hub PVS. Under full load the hole shot is pretty bad. It seems like the motor is really straining to get going.I can get around 5600 RPMs. Should I go down to a 26 or a 27 trophy? And do I need a small hub or a standard Hub? I have also noticed that I dont seem to get much bow lift unless Im running Wide open then its fine. By the way my past 3 were Rangers- They were great boats but there is no question this rides way better in rough water which is what I was looking for.
