07 Optimax missing at lower @ midrange rpms

I filled my gas tank up for the 1st time in a long time and now when I get between 2000 - 4500 rpms my optimax is missing. When idleing it seems to be fine and after get above 5000 rpms it clears up and runs fine. Any idea what might be the problem here?

Hard to say, though spark plugs or fuel delivery. May be a coil dropping, though that is usually is more present on top end also.

I have never had the plugs changed out on this motor, but Ive never had any issue at all with this motor until now. Hope its just needing plugs.

So do we, though there are many parts on an Opti that can fail or cause erratic readings.

I have one more tourny to fish this saturday and I am done til next spring. Is it ok to run it saturday? Not going to be making a long run, maybe 8 or 9 miles.

If it is smooth and not misfiring we would think so, though we dont want to be responsible for a potential issue over a post on the internet.

I could not remember if I still had warranty on the motor or not so I called mercury and found out my warranty goes through february of 2012.
