08 pantera classic, circuit panel replaced due to water damage.

The main panel is a couple hundred bucks, plus labor. What flooded is our question and what was repaired? The boat itself should have limited consequences depending on what the situation was, plug in or out? Was it left flooded? We wouldnt let it deter us, though we would suggest more information be shared for your knowledge.

Thanks for the response, this is what I was told by the previous owner. He was on vacation in Florida while we got a hurricane back here in Maine. He had left the boat docked on a lake. The rain and wind ripped the cover off and shorted out the circuit board, this he said made the battery drain or short out causing the bilge to be in operable. The boat filled with water and was like that for 2 days. He claimed it on insurance and it was fixed by tri town marine in machias Maine. When asked he said everything works like showroom condition. I have the hull number if that info would help you out. Im just wondering if I should invest 18k in this boat as the market for bass cats in Maine is very small?

Are talking to Doug L. about this same boat? Saw something on FB. My concerns would be did the main motor and trolling motor get submerged? Having the big motor given a normal check by a good mechanic is a good idea whether boat was flooded or not. Good luck. If it doesnt work out CR Marine here in NY (3-4 hours from you) has a 2002 Classic they took in trade recently. Actually yes I did ask Doug about this boat. I rode with Doug in the Maine state fish off and fell in love with his boat. I have been searching for a cat ever since. So the boat was shallow at the dock and the only damage seemed to be to the batteries and the circuit board. I was told that they replaced many wires as well as the connections associated with the circuit board. The 200 optimax and minn kota seem to be in perfect running order. The current owner just waited til the very last minute to let me know about this so I really began to worry. Im going to go up and look at it one more time thru and thru and make a decision. I love this boat and it is very good looking. I just dont want any issues during tournaments with the major electrical load that they take. I will post my decision when I make it. Doug will steer you right. You can do a search on here regarding what to have a mechanic check on big motor. Good luck. If you get it, we all like pictures. I Have a 07 Classic too so if you have any questions, feel free.
