1. Vinyl ester upgrade worth the $900 cost?
2. can the second console be removed?

Dealer has a dual console no vinyl ester upgrade. So that or I order one and wait…

The vinyl ester is worth the upgrade imo. For a peace of mind the 900.00 is worth the expence. Especially if you run on big water. The console should be able to remove with care and patience. You can always put decorative covers on the bolt holes. Several have been removed from various models. Im not sure if the “removeable” console can be added or not.

IMO, the VE is only worth it if you plan on keeping your boat for a long time.  I didn’t bother, but, I don’t keep my Cats for more than three or four years. I don’t believe that the “snap in” removable console is an option on the Classic.  As Red mentioned, the console that is on the boat that you are looking at is removable with some time and care, but, once removed, most leave it out.

I have had my Classic for two months now. It is rigged with the 200 Mercury V8.  It is a much better fit for me than my previous P2.

That’s a good analogy on keeping it or not keeping it for VE resins.

The consoles are not removable on the Classic in the sense of true exchange. Some do it and we have seen some dotheir own revisions on hardware.
