2006 BassCat Pantera Classic Steering Wheel?

HI Fellow Cats,Is it easy to center the steering wheel. Just for cosmetic purposes . Boat rides straigt. Can i just remove the steering wheel screws and take the front plate off and loosen the bolt and center it?thanksStephen

If you have hydraulic steering there is no centering. The nature of the system is that center wanders as fluid slips through the pump. I know, it looks like something is off, but it is the nature of the beast.

Its rack and pinion, but not really concerned too much

There are several ways to center rack and pinion if you want. It just depends on how out if center the approach you use.

ugh, I was hoping that there would be a positive answer to this question as to hydraulic steering. I am a tad OCD and it tweeks me to see the BCB emblem upside down when driving straight…. lol

Not sure what kind of steering wheel you have but on my 99 Classic there are 6 or 8 screws that hold the steering wheel to the hub. If I remove them I can turn the wheel right or left as many holes as I want. Be aware that centered at rest will not be centered a speed. I have mine set so one spoke is at about 10 oclock at speed so I can use one hand with my thumb against the spoke.For the two handers, I have been driving with one hand on the wheel and one hand on the shifter, both boat and car, for all my life.
