2006 Puma – Soft spot in the floor

I recently purchased an 06 Puma. Love everything about the boat. However, about the 4th or 5th time I fished out of it, my partner was already sitting in the passenger seat and I pulled the TM to move spots and stepped down off the cooler onto the floor. When I did that my partners foot was up by the cooler and he said he felt the floor move. Upon further inspection the floor has some noticeable "flex" right where your foot would normally land once stepping down. Right in the middle of the boat up against the wall where you access the cooler. I call it a soft spot but I have seen soft spots in boats with wooden supports and its not like that, but its for sure not normal. I mean it took a few fishing trips to even find it and if he hadnt said anything I still may not have noticed it. But you can notice it move by placing a foot in the area and putting all your weight on that foot and bouncing a little. An area about 8 inches or so will flex when you do that, and will not flex anywhere else on the floor but that one spot. I weight 180 and can prob move the floor between an 1/8 to 1/4 of inch up and down. Has anyone come across this on glass boat without wooden supports to rot? I was considering pulling the carpet and re-glassing the floor right there but honestly not sure what I might be getting into once i get in there. Any thoughts or personal experiences would be much appreciated, most of the stuff Ive found online dealing with soft spots and fixing them are on older boats with wooden supports that have gotten soft. This was a one owner boat and I can assure you it was stored inside when not in use, however the gentleman that owned it was a big guy (around 300lbs give or take) and fished all the time, meaning he used it a lot. As crazy as this may sound, could it be from him repeatedly stepping in the same spot over and over that eventually softened that area up? Or is this just a not so common occurrence in a high traffic area? Thanks!

It could be a fatigue area, though its probably just been that way all the time. There is nothing to rot or soften really, and if it bothers you visit with a BCB dealership. If its the factories issue they will deal with it usually. BCB

BCB Thanks for the reply, thats honestly what I was hoping to hear and the only thing that really made sense given how well these boats are built, but Im obviously not an expert on the matter by any means so figured I would post on here just to see what may pop up. I may look into the dealership at some point if it were to get worse, or just address it myself, but most likely will just keep an eye on it for now as it doesnt really bother me all that much since its not overly noticeable or change the performance of anything. I mean its a 2006 boat, I didnt pay for perfect and I get that. Just was looking to make sure it wasnt a possible precursor to something that would bite me later if not addressed immediately.
