2008 classic 2023 200proxs setup

Currently setup with 6″ manual slide master jack plate flush.  Have twin poles 4 lead acid batteries with a 24 pitch tempest plus with vent holes plugged.  Prop slightly blows out as boat breaks over, rpm 5760 at 69 mph with full 33 gallons of fuel and gear. I tried to lower motor height to get rid of blow out but boat doesn’t have any lift and just plows the water. 23 pitch fury with vent holes plugged had 6000 rpm at 70 mph,but blow out was even worse had to feather gas to get it on pad. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A little feathering never hurt anything.  If you only have  a touch of blowout and your speed seams right for the weight your are carrying I’d work with it the way it is.  I will say the old Classic hull loves a Fury 3 blade.  I owned a Classic with 200 2 stroke (2007) for 11 years, great boat.

We really want to try a Trophy on this application, though we don’t have that package as we don’t have access to older combos. We would try a 23 Fury or even a 22 Fury, and we may even chase it to a 23 Trophy. Also what changes have you made as often people make other changes as time passes and the ‘sticker’ number they remember might have before other mods.
