2008 Puma Jackplate/Propshaft Height!

What is the correct or probable jackplate height or propshaft height, with a 225 Pro XS and manual Slidemaster?Will a 25P Trophy run out the RPM Range? Just asking before I lay into the pedal.Jewalston@aol.comJames

Normally start w/ the inner and outer plates flush and go up from there. You should be on or close to the limiter w/ a 25 Trophy depending how you load the boat down.Trial and error is the best method. Get out there and light it up Enjoy it!!!!Judd Lasiter

Well I always go out full of fuel, oil and I weigh about 250! I have about 275-350 pounds of tackle, rods and other gear in the boat! Is this what you would call a tourney load?James

No, probably more than a tourney load… How much tackle do you use a day? It will be fine though. Average gear weight is 165 pounds. BCB

why so much gas? unless you plan on doing 125+ miles in a day I would never tote around that much gas unless the availability of gas was an issue. Carrying around extra weight is decreasing your fuel economy. By the way, start out at 3.5″ below pad and work the jack plate up until one of two things happen.1. the boat slows down on top end2. the steering torque becomes less than desirable

I have never really weighed it! Its probably under 200. Its no more than most of the guides, friends carry that I have fished with.James
