2008 Sabre FTD Repower

I show 44lbs more than the opti. Some will say you don’t have the tank of oil onboard, but with 44lbs more off the very back?? You can call Basscat & give your serial# & receive an updated Plate for 175 4 stroke, but the persons will be reduced to 3 & 390lbs. I would be curious as to performance #s for same HP. I plan on staying with the 2 stroke as long as possible.

The two stroke label does not legally restrict a 175 HP 4 stroke as that is not applicable in legal terms. It is a company product guidance because of excess four stroke weights at that time.

The supercharged 4-stroke Verado’s that weighed over 500lbs linked below is what is being referenced as they never put them on the Sabre I don’t believe. My only question is have the advertised weights always been the same? I.E. included cowl. Also power poles weren’t an option back in the day and wondered if they affect things with a heavier outboard out back?

I have a 2011 with 150 pro xs, with dual power pole blades hanging off the jack plate.  I imagine my weight total would be the same as the new 4 stroke.  I run 60mph.

The new sabre ftd is sold with the 175 4 stroke, and I don’t believe hulls have changed in the time.

If you put 2 power poles with the new 175hp 4-stroke is that the same weight basically as the old supercharged 4-stroke that was previously not recommended is my question?
