i have an 09 Puma FTd with HO. the triton did not actually run 83 (as he claimed) with a load it ran a shade over 81 and i was a little faster. That was with a full load of fuel and water/fish in the wells one person(260) all my gear. I think any brand of the big 3 is capable of getting over 80. I have gotten mine into the upper 82s with no water in the wells and 30 gallons of fuel. i know Phil and some of the other Merc guys are getting in the same range as well. i have several other guys i have talked to with etecs getting around the same as i am. As BCB as stated there are no way to know for sure from one rig to the next , as motors can vary, props , etc. What i can tell you is you will not buy a better overall boat than a Bass Cat. They do it all very well. there are not many what I call full bodied heavy tournament boats that will run the speeds of the BCB 20s,they smooth the rough stuff and the handling of my 09 is by far the best i have ever driven. I never thought i would buy a boat that would ride and handle with my Champs. this boat has surpassed it many times over and is 10 mph faster as well. Couple that with the best fit and finish of any boat in the industry and the best customer service on the planet then what more could you want. doug mcgee
