2009 Puma FTD

Have two issues and one questions - On my dashpanel when I get in rough water the connector backs off and it looses power. If I reach under and push the connector in it will start working. Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent this. The wiring harnass bundle is pretty tight in that area. I have the Ultra Claw wheels - How do you remove the center cap to check the wheel bearing grease? Remove wheels ? Finally - saw the rear light on the new Jag that telescopes - Does Basscat have any plans to allow that to be retro fitted to other models (Puma FTD) ? tks Big Al....

This owners board is your only manual for all your needs. Just ask any questions you like and you will get the right answers. If you bought your boat from a dealer you will recieve a goodie box, Im just not sure of its contents. The incentive program for mercury is Quest related. I believe that you will receive a certificate from BCB to put towards items in their catalogue. My buddy just purchased a Panterra and got his certificate for $250.00 credit. I think that he also received a jacket and a hat.

Took out my boat on the small lake by my house for a quick first ride – Wow I never dreamed of the differents in ride and handling on this boat compared to my previous classic… Three people in the boat and still hit 70mph… More impressive to me was the handling and ride (And storage). Cant help ya on the dash- but yes you have to remove the wheels in order to check the bearing buddy. BCB did this on purpose so folks are not using grease guns to lubricate their bearings which WILL lead to a premature seal failure. There is plenty on this subject if you do a search for “bearings” on here. Check your hubs everythime you trailer, and get use to how they feel. The aft wheels will be a bit hotter then the front due to the brakes. You should be able to keep your hand on them without no discomfort from heat. If you start to notice them getting hotter then normal, then it will be time to repack those bearings and replace the seal. Generally every 3 years will suffice.

1. Try cutting the wire ties and either loosen or re-route the cable, then re-tie. I had to do that with my kill switch wires. 3. I think I remember reading that only the Jaguar had the depth to install the telescoping stern light. Steve
