Cant help ya on the dash- but yes you have to remove the wheels in order to check the bearing buddy. BCB did this on purpose so folks are not using grease guns to lubricate their bearings which WILL lead to a premature seal failure. There is plenty on this subject if you do a search for “bearings” on here. Check your hubs everythime you trailer, and get use to how they feel. The aft wheels will be a bit hotter then the front due to the brakes. You should be able to keep your hand on them without no discomfort from heat. If you start to notice them getting hotter then normal, then it will be time to repack those bearings and replace the seal. Generally every 3 years will suffice.
