hello everyone I have a 2014 mercury pro xs that throws a “WF” error code
i thought it was water in fuel so I replaced whole fuel filter system and checked there’s no water in fuel
then I thought maybe it was a general error code for my battery cause it was dying really fast during the day and wasn’t charging when driving the boat so I changed the altinator
boat still beeps, still in limp mode, still WF
please help I looked everywhere and it fucked my three days of a 800$ bass tournament
You should be able to go through your gauge to the menu then errors and get a more detailed error message on your beleed gauge. Mine threw a code flashing wf went through that menu and it was an oil issue. I had a bad sensor on my oil tank under the motor cowling. How that helps.
A 2014 Pro XS is not a diagnostically “smart” engine, it is semi smart with codes that overlap several items. Those simple ones are oil levels, heat, water in filter, and ignition stop switch.
