The P2 and Mercury is not an issue now. They had a large back order in fall and between Mercurys engine back order and the other vendors it was a challenge. Some orders lagged 12-14 weeks due to engines and at one time the factory had in excess of one months production in various stages of completion, just sitting waiting on Mercury engines. The factory increased production 30% first of January and worked through Nov. and December training staff for the January 1st ramp up. The aging back order list is now is mostly the new Pantera Classic, waiting release to begin. The others aged are Eyra models. The Eyra was oversold in 2017 and remains a large wait time. They have caught up though it still it is still a large order list. The Eyra was complicated on timing on Mercury and then BRP engines. They could not start Merc/BRP orders at times due to engine and parts availability. This put focus on Yamaha which were in stock. A one month to 6 week hold on some Mercury and then later Evinrude boats starting production extended the end delivery times. it was impacted to prevent the large inventory of completed boats waiting on a major or minor component. Timing on Mercury engines moved Eyra Models back between 4-6 weeks even though they had already been on order for weeks. They were not started as the labor to bring them in and complete the products was excessive. It would be like putting a car in the lot with no motor, only to bring it back and so the install. Not efficient at all! They have whittled the back order down and are in the November/December orders on starting and delivering October orders now on Eyra models. Plans are to increase production again in May by 20% if possible. Things are good here! Thank you all,BCB
