2018 Eyra after 2 months

Well I have had my 2018 Eyra for about 2 months now and she is broke in and fished hard. I have to thank Bass Cat for such an excellent boat and for the effort they put out to get my Eyra to me before a small overseas deployment. As it turned out I did not have to go because I was hired and joined the team at Air Force Global Strike Command allowing to retire after 31 years in the Air Force but continue to fight as a civilian for another 10 years. Enough about me but I did want to thank BCB for them kicking the boat out to me so that I could get it on the water before a deployment. The transition from a Sabre to the Erya was not as easy as I thought it would be but I have control of the beast now, I have no problem cruising at 75 plus and top end is easy. She looks fast and she is!!!! I am running a 25 T-2 SHO with a hydro jack plate. I have topped out so far at 80.2 gps but was on the limiter so a new prop is on order (26 T-2 SHO). I have no doubt that I will be in the lower 80s with the weather getting cooler! I am super happy with the SHO...I have the speed and still get a great hole shot (3-5 seconds) (no matter what weight I have in the boat) and mid range is fun to say the least. I was able to test the true tournament load with a partner at the TXBCOE on Lake Fork a couple of weeks ago and still managed a good hole shot and 77.1 on the GPS.I have fished two tournaments out of her so far and both had great results with all boats equipment and live wells, even managed to weigh in a 25.20 pound string for first place and the largest string of the year for ALBC. I had the boat on the trailer for almost two hours before weigh in and the bass were lively as hell!! Right now I have ZERO negative things to say about the combo I bought and would recommend the boat to anyone. On of my partners that owns a 21 foot R boat has stated that the Eyra has a better ride in the rough stuff but I have not really had her out in anything that bad, I ca certainly say that the ride is much better than my Sabers on a good chop and the Eyra is very similar in the turns and sporty feel.Thank you BCB for a great boat that has exceeded at of my expectations!
