Ive never seen this issue. Sounds like the gear shift / kill switch assembly was mounted to far toward seat. Not sure what your fix will be but moving the seat closer to the step box may cause rub. A solution might be to change out step box to seat or fiberglass step. Im sure BCB will resolve

Thanks Phil. BCBs solution was to move the seat which now crowds the box by both seats to the point they rub. Apparently this has happened on other boats as well. Im giving it shot but believe it will tear the seats over time.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Im having an issue similar to this on my new Lynx only its with the two storage boxes behind the seats. Both lids rub the outside corners of the back rest badly when opening or closing. Its only a matter of time before the seats start to tear. Not cool on such a high $$$$ boat.I have my dealer working on this with BCB. Everything else on the boat has been stellar but I was a little disappointed with BCB on this one.

Im sure BCB will resolveI know that I’m referring to a different model but I swapped out my center box for the center seat on my Eyra. The center seat rubs a little on both the driver and passenger seat. I boat captain for my high school son and his partner so it gets used a lot. I have not noticed any spots from the rubbing though. Just thought I’d mention the center seat rubs a little and the center box did not rub if I recall correctly.

On my Cougar that does not occur. Love the boat. This is the only issue I have thus far. Could be solved. Ill see after using for a season. Long term fix seems to be just a smaller box by 2 inches.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The Lynx seat backs are a vendor change that should have been caught though was not prior to delivery.

Ahh. I was looking closer last night and the easy solution would be to have a little less stuffing on the backs of the seats. Its not the actual frame of the seat that rubs the lids as I can compress the stuffing with my fingers and make the lid pass.Ill let my dealer know about this.Thanks BCB!
