Nothing wrong at all with Rayburn down here, but Ouachita has a nice ring to it. I’ve made a few casts there, and I’d love an excuse to make a few more.

Ouachita – big lake, has Hot Springs near by for plenty of places to stay, places for the ladies/wives etc to have a great time, 4 hours from Mtn Home ….. makes sense in every way I can think of

Used Google Earth, 240 mile radius (60mph at 4 hours) to come up with a radius (as the crow flies). this will cover almost all of Arkansas, All of eastern Oklahoma, parts of western Tennessee, NW Mississippi, and about 3/4 of the lower Missouri. Lots of water in that area

I thought it was said at the OI that it would be “in Arkansas” in 2019 ? maybe I misremember … of course, such a great event, I’ll travel 4-5 hours to it and won’t be upset where it is held

The local tourism commission is on track tomake a decision in about two weeks on their support and the promotions director is in favor of the event. Hang on guys, it’ coming and the weekend is April 25th through 27th .
