2023 Caracal Set Up Questions

Hello!

Was wondering if there were any suggestions on a new 2023 Caracal Setup

225SHO, power poles, utrex, 360 imaging, front and back helix 10’s, and lithium’s.

It came with a 23 pitch Yamaha SHO prop recommeded by Basscat. Getting 67 mph, 5700 rpm at 3 3/8″ below pad. Then starts chine walking pretty bad.

Not finding any threads on the use of this prop and need to buy a spare anyway. Seems like a lot are using Furys.

Also wondering if I need to add some weight due to the lithium’s.

Any suggesitons?

What elevation are your lakes at? The most common recommendation for lithiums has been to drop the prop a little, As far as the Chine walk, it will just take seat time and maybe a ride with a BCB experienced driver, here’s a good video featuring Rick, with some tips: https://youtu.be/WMXMbToRHFo

I’m a flat lander living in Iowa.

forgot to mention I have a atlas Jack plate as well. I’m sure getting used to driving it has a little to do with it as well. But curious on others setups.

Yamaha engines do run with more engine height.

The 23 T2 does sound like a good propeller, be sure you are getting full throttle also.
