2023 Puma STS Merc 250 Poor Hole Shot

I am running a 2023 Puma STS with a Mercury 250 Pro XS four stroke engine. I am running a pair of 8’ Power Poles, four lead acid batteries, and a medium tackle load. Yesterday with a rider, fuel cells 1/2 full, and live wells full, the boat would not plane without my rider moving to the front deck. I am currently running a Fury 24P with all PVS plugs removed. Should I go to a Fury 4 blade, or drop to a 3 blade Fury 23P? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

We would suggest a 23 Fury on that load. There has been a lot of testing on various props in the last 16 months by the Bass Cat staff. We feel the 24″ Fury to be the worst performing of the Fury line up. If one can go either 23 or 25 they would be better off.
