The 24 Fury is the right propeller for most applications. Make sure the PVS plugs are removed from the hub. Raising the engine above 50% height helps relieve the engine during hole shot. Begin to Lower it as soon as the bow begins to peak. Bring it down to about #2 on the gauge and adjust run heights by feeling steering torque. Mercury engines are more prone to steering torque than Yamaha and their gear as does perform very well. On top end you should be able to grasp upper 70’s at best, some better and some around mid 70’s.
Heavy loads change performances and if your above 1400 feet elevations Mercury engines do need smaller propellers. They generally run 1” smaller props than Yamaha on the same applications.
