25p Tempest and 6150 rpm

I just bought a 2001 Cougar w/ 225 EFI and 25p 3 blade prop and my rpms @ wot is around 6150. Motor is rated at 5900 I believe. Would a 26p 3 blade lower my rpm and also will rpms be higher in winter than summer. Boat has awsome hole shot so I could loose some there. We tryed a 26p 4 blade and I wasnt to happy with hole shot although top end increased. Any help would be appeciated......

Thanks Chris, I would like to take you up on that offer but Im in NW AR. The guy I bought it from is getting his new Puma today and is buying a 3 blade 25p tempest so I will be able to try that one. That rpm was with both tanks full, no water in live wells, all gear, two people “180 & 220” hole shot is awsome but I would like to be able to run it without worrying about rpm going past 6k year round as long as I still have decent hole shot which I could lose some and not hurt to much. Thanks for your help……Scott
