Scoand-I just sold my Cougar FTD with a 250 Merc and hydraulic jackplate on it. When I first got it it had only 1 power pole and I was running a 26P Fury. Hole shot was decent in the winter and it would turn between 5900-6000 rpms if I recall correctly. Top end speed was 79/80, it had more in it but I am too chicken to drive thru it as they say. I know it would run 80+ with a more veteran driver. I added the 2nd power pole and the hole shot suffered quite a bit, and especially as it warmed up in the spring and summer. I switched to a 25P Fury and the hole shot improved and I was still able run 78 with a light load and 76 fully loaded on tournament day. Rpms were about 5800-5900 with the 25P. Oh and all of this was with the jackplate all the way down. I never ran it WOFT and raised the jackplate up at all. Hope that helps. Tony D2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS
