360 – Aurora cover on 2020 Caracal

I have a 2020 Caracal pre STS with 24V Ultrex.  Considering adding a 360 and I’m concerned with if Aurora cover that came with boat from BCB will fit if I add one.  It’s extremely tight already.  Could any fellow Caracal owners who have added 360 advise me on this please?  What are the options, if any, when 360 is mounted to reduce the height above TM shaft when motor is not deployed?  Thank you in advance.

I have a 2017 Pantera Classic with a 24 V Ultrex and an Aurora Cover. I added a 360 and the cover fits and I travel with the cover in place with no problem.

Brian, even if it doesn’t fit properly after adding the 360, just take your cover to a local canvas top maker and have that shop do a release.  Easy and inexpensive.

I have a 2020 Caracal and went through the same thing.  There are two options depending on how often you use your cover.  If you use it regularly, then take it to a local canvas shop and have it modified.  This is what I did and it cost $150 and had him add two loops to run a strap through if needed.  The other is to remove the 360 pod when you need to cover the boat.  It takes about a minute to remove it and the same for installation.

Thanks guys.  I don’t use it often but do use the cover.  Didn’t realize the 360 comes off that easy.  Hadn’t heard of anyone doing that in my fishing circles.   Haven’t installed 360 or new 10″ Helix as of yet.   Got a few months of hard water season before we can get out but gives me time to work on it.  Thanks again.
