94 Pantera Classic circuit breaker replacement

I have an 04 Pantera Classic that I have experienced a little problem with the circuit breakers triping or going out for a few minutes and then after everything cools down they apparantly reset and start working again. Where would I find a replacement circuit breaker to replace those that come on the boat back in 94? I am also puzzled by a cylinder that is about 4 inches long and about an inch and a half in diameter. This is wired in with all of the circuit breakers and just kind of hangs there. What is this? One other question that I have concerns adding lights to my rod lockers and center storage compartment. Is it advisable to run a seperate wire back to the starting battery and add a switch to operate the compartment lights or should you just splice into the original wiring of the boat? My thoughts were to tie in to the navagation lights at the switch at the console and run wires from this point to supply power to the rod boxes. Whats the pros and cons? Thanks for many years for the quality boat that you build BassCat and Thanks Again for sponsering this Owners Board. It has made owning a BC a rewarding experience.
