96 pantera II steering

Going to replace my steering cables. My pII has dual cables "2 seperate cables" Will the dual cable that is in one head work with my helm? hope my ? is understood.

Jason, It has always been suggested that rather than just replace the cables you should always replace both cables and helm at the same time. Not that expensive, and all new for peace of mind. Thanks D thats what i want to do. Little short on coin at the moment. I already had to disconnect 1 cable just so I could use boat.

ifishdad, You can just replace the dual cable assembly, though you should not operate this boat on single cable. First it is a violation of USCG regulations and it flat aint safe! Please do not operate any boat for other than an emergency without the cables both functioning. BCB
