A-10 question

Im in the process of hooking up a LSS-1 / Lowrance side scan. Im going to mount it in the back of the starboard rod loocker. I want to hook the power up to the ACC on my A-10. I read on another post that the pink wire is the ACC on the A-10. the pink wire on mine is running into the hole on the starboard side along with the rest of the wires and is taped and tie wraped to the other wires. is it just laying in there? I already mounted the transducer to the jackplate and removed the starboard vent. Im going to use the GPS puck wire to pull 2 strings to the console and use one to pull the transducer cable to the console and the other to pull the ducer wire back to the puck. It is just a short pull from the starboard hole under the console to the rod locker. any advise on this before I get serious about mounting it? If you have rail lights, then you ACC is connected to those. If you have livewell lights, then it is activating those or in addition to the trails does both. There was a post on using a CPVC pipe to run through the gunnel with no obstructions. There are those here who have done that and they agreed that if they had a difficult install it would make the routing easier. Though they prefer a snake of some sort here for most routing. BCB

Ok I checked the wires with a meter before I spliced into them and my ACC is the orange wire on my 2006 classic. I went pretty smooth only took a few hours starting from scratch. I drilled a taped the jack plate to mount the SS transducer. and I had to cut the dash opening about 1/4″ wider for the HDS5.Last edited by txmrbass on April 22nd, 2010, 12:53 am, edited 1 time in total.
