ACC#2 on control panel 2022 EYRA

Hello, Im new to the bass cat forum and was hoping someone can help me out. I own a 2022 Eyra equipped with 2 power poles. The power poles can be shut off using the main power switch that was installed in the rear battery compartment. When the boat is parked I need to go into the rear compartment to shut the power off to the power poles to prevent drain on the cranking battery. I would like to use the ACC #2 button on the control panel (orange wire) to turn the power poles on and off when need be. From what I was told the ACC#2 button is only for low amperage and was wandering if I could install a relay to handle the load amps ( up to 80 amps with 2 power poles) from the power poles. This way the ACC#2 button will only power the coil within the relay in which closes the switch within the relay. It would be more convenient without having to go into the compartment to get to the power pole switch when I can just turn them on with the ACC#2 button on the control panel. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Sorry for my terrible literature in advance. LOL . Thanks Shawn

Shawn there should not be any power being drawn by the Power Poles in a “static” state. Before I would look for a better solution I would take a volt meter and place it in-line between the positive battery connection of the Power Poles and the battery to verify if a draw is taking place and also how much of a draw is happening. If one exists, I would reach out to Power Pole to verify if this is the expected amount of draw to ensure nothing else is wrong.

The Acc #2 switch we do not believe will handle the loads required for the Power Pole switching. You seem capable and might have a better thought on this and probably are able to calculate those amperage needs also.
