Adding second console to PII, any regrets?

Ive only had my P Classic for 14 months. But my two cents are, if you dont have the deck extension in, the console is ok. But with the flipping deck in, the room lost is very noticable. Feels claustrophobic to me with the flipping deck installed.I run the single console and flipping deck 90 percent of the time. Come colder wearher I put it in primarily to protect my combat veteran co-anglers from the elements.. On a side note, I love being close to the nose of the boat and having the flipping deck. Makes nice room for me to put a wheel chair up there. Not a lot of boats have that ability and have room for a 300 pound man and a wheelchair combat vet.

I had never had a second console in my many yrs of owning a cat. I made the transition. Regardless of reading some didnt care for one. We love our new addition. It has so many advantages. Ive had no regrets. In fact will never own @nother without one. I since have added light to the glove box . Should have some picture in my profile in a little while. Got the ideal from meanv. Yes you lose some room. But to me and Im sure my wife and co angler the benefits out weigh the negatives. I call the glove box the black hole.

I have a second console on order for my Margay and thats already a small boat. After one trip with my girlfriend sitting on the passenger side without a console I know shell never enjoy a day on the water without one and therefore neither will I. Its worth the trade off for me.

Our last boat had a single and the wife and grandchildren did not do well in the elements. Our new P II has the dual consoles and they are protected. That makes my days easier. We did lose a little room, but well worth it. Next Cat will have the duals as well.

I also have a single console P2, and would not add a second unless BCB made the removable one for it. I would never sacrifice the openness on a boat of its size. My wife fishes a lot with me, and if the weather is nasty, she isnt going fishing anyhow Some of my earlier bass boats were duals, but I would never go back.

Ive had my 13 dual console PII since January & feel fine about deck space, fitting rods in the locker, etc. My passenger console was added at the dealer & looks clean. Three bolts through the rod locker & 3 through the side. Is it as open as a single? Nope, but a nice trade off & your partner will appreciate it. Hope you like it!
