Advice on Prop

I have found a prop I like very much. Has my boat running better than it ever has. Just am wondering what I can do to help with loading this thing on the trailer. Might just be something I will have to deal with and will just have to winch this thing up on the trailer. Did find out yesterday, that if I put the winch strap between the 2 rollers and winch it in a straighter fashion that it is easier to winch it up. Anyway, I am now running a 27 Trophy. I am running the jack plate flush, have all 4 vent holes plugged with no vent ring. Hole shot is pretty good, mid range punch is good and top end is better than ever. I am turning this prop 55 to 5600 RPMs and can run 75 MPH top end. Is there anything I can do with venting to give this thing a little more grunt when loading my boat. ThanksJoeyPS: Did I mention this thing will flat out fly !!!! It is unreal how much better this thing runs with this prop. Trim her up, tap it down a couple times to level out the boat and watch the numbers just climb !!!!

basscat247, There is little you can do short of dropping a couple of vent plugs out and changing the size combination there. Take out or change plug combinations until you get that touch of propeller ventilation as the bow drops over. That is the perfect hole shot, which should give you as much ventilation as you can have to both load and run.BCB

Thanks, did not think there was much I could do. The hole shot is not bad but might try unplugging or going to some plugs that have holes in them. Sure like the way this prop runs though. Did not think this boat was capable of those speeds until I tried this prop. It really woke this boat up. ThanksJoey

Easy…back the trailer in the water further, right Phil I am sorry I just couldnt let this one by…glad to hear you have her running good Joey. Just to clarify and not give anyone else false hope here, what type of load were you carrying to do that? fuel, livewell, passenger, tackle, current (I know you fish rivers over there), etc Impressive no doubt!Judd Lasiter

JOEY, just the nature of the beast(trophy that is), as stated and argued on previos posts the trophy will not push the boat all the way up on MOST ramps, where a tempest will load it in the back of your truck. Some do not believe this true, but…..SAMBAYOU BANDIT

Judd, I have been running this prop the last couple times I have been fishing. Did not change a thing over my last prop and set up. (26 pitch trophy) Yesterday while at Pickwick I had the back two tanks full, about 10 gallons in main tank with all my fishing stuff. (that is a lot of stuff also). Think I can still get out of the hole full and with another person. Comes out of the hole pretty good, just not enough grunt to load it on the trailer. Had a little problem with that even running my 26 but not this much. Love the way this prop performs though. Guess I will just have to crank this boat up a little every time I put it back on the trailer though. ThanksJoey
