Alabama Fishing Report?

I am heading out from Texas to Alabama in the morning to visit my father who is losing his battle with cancer. While I am there my nephews and brother want to try to do a little fishing. Do any of my Alabama "Cat Family"(Kelly , Mackie...all of you SEBCOG II guys) have any info. on any of the lakes listed below? I would appreciate any insight you are willing to share. No tournaments just leisure fishing. I am sure the cold front moving in will "mess things up" for a few days. Guys I appreciate the prayers and thoughts. Robin, I was born and raised in Bama and my blood does bleed Crimson. I grew up in the Bear Bryant era and it is hard for people who have never lived in Bama to know just how serious that state takes its football. It is almost like a religion to some. Sorry to hear about your Dad. I know that Kelly would have some info as would Macky. Ive not been “up north” to fish for quite a while. Hope to change that as soon as my Bay Cat is done. Bill

Mike, So sorry to hear about dad we will be thinking about him and you also. I lost my dad in 1996 and mother last year in Oct. (just before SEBCOG) so I know what you are going through. It will be a very trying time just be strong and hang in there. Hope Im not to late on the report but I just got home from hospital with a niece who had surgery. I have had a little health problem myself so I have not fished a lot. Logan Martin is down about 3.5 which is normal this time of year. Temp varies 62 to 68 deg. depending on sunny or cloudy, mostly clear due to little to no rain. I have been catching mostly spots and they are shallow 1 to 5. Some guys catching on small crank bait, I use spinner bait (home made cant buy) mostly in the fall, top water has not been good for me. This is getting long send me a PM if you get this before you leave and I will give you my cell number to call me. Mackey PS sgt93 says winter sucks. But it never gets to cold to fish in Alabama
