Topic: Aluminum Hull

Aluminum Hull

I apologize if this is something that has been discussed on this forum. I am curious if BCB has ever considered building a modern aluminum boat. I know other manufacturers do and they are successful with their sales. I would assume that one reason would be the capacity at which the boats could be built since the factory is set up for fiberglass production hulls. BCB has always been better IMO and I would guess that if they made an aluminum boat it too would outshine the competition.

BassCat did make Aluminum bass boats in the late 90’s maybe up to 2001.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I had forgotten about the Sea Ark boats but the boat in 03 was something I did not remember. I know if the ever decided to bring one back with a BCB logo on it that it would be the best aluminum boat available. Tight lines.

It’s true that it doesn’t look half bad!

Still, I wonder how the aluminium hulls have aged in at least 18 years, even the most recent of them is almost 2 decades old now.
Sure, a well-preserved boat must be perfectly usable, but only if it’s been well-preserved, which is not that common!

That’s not something of interest today. The aluminum bass boats are set up and competitive and some producers may not be sustainable. We have toyed with a BCB and SeaArk Joint Venture, though revenue sharing and profit are a concern. In the mean time we are going to eventually cooperate with SeaArk again once this blows over. We want to take that up a notch one day on the BC 210 and BC 190 models.

Thanks for the information! I was wondering, once the new batches are produced, will there be a way to buy them in Europe or have them delivered there? The thing is that next year, I intend to buy one of these houses in Greece https://tranio.com/greece/detached/ , but since there’s an ocean between this country and where Bass Cat boats are made…
