Another hotfoot question

i was going to get a hootfoot installed in my new to me 2003 p4. i saw a post on bbc that if you get a hotfoot installed by your dealer, they use a different one then what would be used at the factory. and the one the dealer uses has to be more centered behind the console rather then more to the right like the factory installed one. is this true? if it is true can i order one from the factory so i can get the pedal as far to the side as possible?

There are no differences in the Hot Foot, though most do not use a Slide Assembly that we use. BCB

buddy of mine said to go with the sliding hotfoot and its footprint will help the pedal sit more to the side. that is what i will order when it is time. thanks BCB
