Thats what happen to me ! My Tach quit working and before i knew it the stator went . Cost was 1300.00 for both regulators and stator . Like i posted earlier my machanic told me to unhook one of my battery cables. Because leaving the battery hookup there is residual power to the regulators and causes them to go bad.
