I purchased some a few months back and now getting around to install them. Thing is, it like like I would have to cut out the whole section of rub rail where the light would go. I went to cut out for the nav lights and I dont thinks its going to be possible not to cut out the whole section. Well, Im not going to do that. Ill go without the lights before my boat looks like sh!t. Anyone have any advice?
not sure what rub rail you have but i have the Small insert and cut it out for the light backed the light with a clear spacer so they are almost flush. bcb is correct not legal. i say push the envelope what i see on other brands moving the lights around pushing them back further i have yet to be stopped. if i am i still have the old school i can plug in
i sent you the email pic s, these are the super bright brand. i like them a lot the nav lights are real bright id almost go with a shorter piece if i did it again Last edited by jbassertn on September 18th, 2016, 8:05 pm, edited 1 time in total.
you may also have a diff rub rail i have noticed BCB has changed them mine is the 08. friend of mine has a skeeter and we took a router to his ill email a pic when i get one what year cat you thinking about put them on
Mine is a 15. Rub rail is thicker than yours and is secured in the dead center. I went to cut out for the nav lights, made one cut, and realized that the upper & lower edges would be flapping in the wind as they wouldnt be secured. Ive seen pics of guys who cut out the whole sections of their rub rails(where the lights are located) and it looks like crap.
