Alma Man Wins New Bass BoatDollon Boydston, of Alma, won a brand new 2010 BassCat Pantera Classic Bass Boat, with a 200 HP Mercury Optimax O/B motor, a Minn Kota Fortrex trolling motor, 2 Hummingbird GPS/Depth finders, Pro Guide Batteries valued at $34,000.00. Boydston reported that he bought 1 ticket at work and never anticipated that he might actually win. According to Thomas Phillips, Treasurer, Arkansas B.A.S.S. State Federation Nation the fund raising raffle tickets were sold by bass clubs all across Arkansas. The Drawing took place Saturday during the World Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart. In addition to Boydston, Ronda Martin of Judsonia, AR and Buddy Louck of Goodfield, IL won $1,500 and $750 prize packages from Abu Garcia/Berkley tackle systems.

As a Fed member I would like to thank BCB and the other companies that gave so the Arkansas Federation would have a boat to raffle off. I sold several tickets and the club i fish with sold ALOT of tickets. I am sure all of the clubs are thankful. Thanks from all of the Federation Members.

Thanks BassCat for a great boat and also for your support of the Arkansas Federation Nation.This boat put a lot of miles on traveling around Arkansas and the exposure for the Federation and BassCat was tremendous. Plus put some additional funds in the Federation treasury that can be used for projects down the road.Ron

Mr. Boydston happens to be my next door neighbor.The truth is he forgot about where his winning ticket came from and forgot about even having a ticket for the drawing.The other day when I came home from work I saw Tom Phillips delivering the Pantera to Jrs house. Jrs wife came running over to me to tell me that Jr had won a boat. We had all forgot about his wife coming over to a yard sale my wife was having earlier this year while I was out fishing.She didnt buy any of our fine merchandise but as she was leaving my wife sold her one of my boat raffle tickets that our bass club(Alma Bassmasters) was selling.She told my wife she was going to put her husbands name on it because he was luckier than her.I guess he was luckier than me because I bought 10 tickets out of the book of 50 tickets that I had,he had the one,and I didnt win.Needless to say the Boydston family is tickled to be in the BassCat family.

Great story. Id say Mr. Boydston won big on two counts. A very thoughtful wonderful wife and now a brand new Basscat. One lucky dude. Might I suggest he make a trip the the local jeweler and get his wife a very very nice Christmas present!
