Looking into purchasing one directly from the BassCat Store. How is the quality of these covers? Also, what is the estimated time tof receive these covers? I have to travel to the northeast this weekend with my Puma and Im worried about the storm coming in. Thanks!!
Thank you HC and glad it worked out for you! The new (13) Aurora Sunbrella Supreme is by far the best over we have ever offered. It is a BCB designed cover and outperforms any over out there we have seen used. The only keys to its performance are the upright posts locations and the strap tension outside the boat. They must be TIGHT, then tension the strap some more. The earliest border straps were a different material than later versions and they were not as sturdy. The latest versions of straps, ratchets and covers has done very well.
Unfortunately the covers take longer than the boat to receive as we cant order them till the boats in production due to changes on orders. We had several covers ins rock fom those changes that had to be liquidated. We believe your cover is in last week and you should have Brech reroute it directly to you on Monday morning. That way it wont go Alabama to Texas round trip.
I have owned several BassCats with factory covers and I would say that the Aurora Sunbrella cover is the best of all of the covers if you are willing to pay the price for it. The cover is easy to put on and is soft on the inside, so it does not mar the boat in any way. It also keeps the boat totally dry under all conditions. Great cover for towing!!
ThankS PBbass. Do they often ship those out immediately? Or do they specifically build each one per requests and specs you send in? Having to drive through the aftermath of this northeast storm has me worried Im going to be slinging a lot of muck directly into my new boat. Thanks again.
Says to allow 4-6 weeks on the online store. Cover has to made by Aurora, not just according to model, but by number of consoles, windshield size, and make of trolling motor. Worth every cent. Best travel cover I have ever owned.
Covers are not ordered on production boats until they are in production. Changes to the boat order obviously would give us a truckload of unusable expensive canvas. Especially since the Ultrex motor came out, weve had those changed late in the process. Luckily they already had MinnKotas. That is why the long wait when boats are ordered long in advance of production.
