Hey guys,
I have a little slop around the back seat pedestal mount on my 2014 Eyra. Its where the post comes through the deck and the slop is between the deck and the post. What are the options to repair this? Is the bushing that is installed around the middle seat post available to purchase? I'm wondering if I couldn't step the hole up and bond that in there to take up the slack.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Ed
Had the same issue on the 2011 Eyra I had. I drove a hardwood wedge in between the post and the deck. Never came loose again and the wedge was drive down below the carpet so you couldn’t see it.
I had the same on my 2012 Eyra. I used aluminum dryer vent material that I cut, installed from underneath and secured with hose clamp. I can’t remember if it needed 1 or 2 pieces to take up the slop.
Had the same issue with my old Cougar, you can buy the bushings that are in the deck and replace them. You have to break the old bushings out with hammer and chisel, took me 30 minutes or so to change both of mine.
Yes you can purchase the bushings from BassCat. Its much easier if you use a hacksaw blade and cut through the bushing and it comes right out without any chiseling or hammering.
Hacksaw blade good idea, the first bushing I replaced had slop in it so I had to break it out too. When I ordered the second set of bushings (the right ones) I put them on pedestals and checked their fit before I installed them.
