They are a step down for sure! What I am saying is if you need a back up prop or running on a lake that you know has hazards you can use instead of your good prop. Just offering some info. I had some customers this past week that I let you use a ballastic why I fixed theres and they where happy that they were back on the water running close to what they had. Never hurts to have a backup!!!

My recollection of Ballistic props is they were thin bladed and a blade could be thrown on one fairly easy in surfacing applications.

Thanks for your input!! I am not recommending that a person go out and buy a new ballastic for top performance. For a back up prop per dollar and performance this is the prop I would go with. If a person looks around they can come up with one relatively cheap.

Hit a stump on plane on Fork prior to coming down to the OI. Steves Custom props sold me a Ballistic prop for my Johnson 200 on my 91 PII. With full tanks, the boat didnt want to plane out unless I moved my partner to the front. What is the correct prop for a 88 Johnson V6 200?
