Basketcase break-in.
Immediate break in is complete and made a few short runs.Back to the 25 Fury for now, 26 ProMax was too steep, will try a 25 soon.Incredible lift, but boat is not loaded with gear yet, although I cant drive it to potential I feel loaded it will perform very well.First impression sitting in the boat is youre in a Margay ! It seems short because its so freaking wide ! It rides really good, impressively good. Accessibility is incredible, and controls are all smooth and fluid. Bilge is clean and neat, totally uncluttered. Fueling is one position doable, with all fill ports on transom top cap. Cockpit area is wide open, smooth and comfortable. I sat behind the wheel for 2 1/2 hours without issues. At wot top end speeds the boat is very trim sensitive(putting it mildly). This thing will get your full attention if you try to drive past your ability. Low 70s full tournament loaded seems probable, although this boats real beauty is its stability, comfort, and profile. At 198" it is very large, while still feeling like a 19 rig on the troller. You look in your side mirrors on your truck and see boat almost to your back bumper, its that wide! Just a very nice boat I cant wait to spend time in. Cheaper than a Cougar ? Nope. Easier to pull ? Nope. Did I splurge on myself ? Yep. After some changes in lifestyle choices, I feel like I can pay for the Caracal and feel pretty good about it. I deserve it. And best advice I can give from buying an early new model rig is to be patient with the process, it takes time to get it all right, yes, even at BCB. P.s. Love the wheels, l.e.d.s, torsion bar suspension is quiet and smooth, etc.... I do wish I had gotten b/u lights, but cant have it all, and the finish on boat and trailer, as well as the carpet and seating material is all perfect. May not allow tungsten weights near the boat ! Lol Power poles gonna have to wait a while,,,,,,, mommas turn for something nice next !Last edited by dbasketman on December 8th, 2014, 3:58 am, edited 1 time in total.

Back up lights is a easy add on. Congrats on the new ride.

I also love the latches on the coolers and livewells, very secure. The pedestal butt seat will be removed, I seldom use one, and tools will probably go into day box ! Photos dont do it justice, it is gorgeous and colors really pop, just quick shots with a cell, and I will get better shots one day. A couple minor touches and she will be on the water, loaded and getting slimy I hope !
Beautiful boat ! Trim sensitive ?? Are you saying it is easy to over trim ? Does it get squirley or difficult to handle at high speed.Love the width and would love to see one in person……maybe Greenes will have one at their annual open house.
Shes a beauty. Congratulations!
My Cougar AE got squirrely when it was empty, I mean beastly. This is trim sensitive, in that it was empty, I mean 5 gal. Gas, and nothing in the boat, and its width lends to lots of lift. And one bump too many on the trim and it loosens up the hull for a driver quality ride ! With my load it will settle the boat down just right !
