Bass Cat Boat VS Concrete Post Light Pole

Please help me on the expectations of the repair on this. How noticeable will the repaired area be. BTW due to a series of unfortunate events, my father in law had to tow my boat back (my truck 1.5 hours away in shop) and he backed my boat into a concrete mounted light pole in an empty parking lot. (he is a truck driver and I never in a million years expected anything like this) I know the fender replacement will be seamless but I am worried about the boat hull. If anyone has any experience with this type of damage/repair, please help.

Yeah, my father in law is sick also. The boat has less than 20 hours on it.

meet a guy last year at bcb owner tournament in AL he hit a post pulling away from fuel island and put a big hole in bow plus side of boat and you never would of even known if he didnt have pic to show damage same with that there it can be fixed and you will never be able to tell diff

Wow, sorry to see that. I know that must hurt you as much as it appears to have hurt your boat. Hope it comes out alright.Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

That is awful. As a Cat owner, I feel your agony, and especially on such a new boat. The good news is that from your pic, it looks like the glass may be intact, and all of the work will be gel repair. A good glass repair should be able to make it look like new. Not sure where you are located but, if you do not know a good shop, get some recommendations, and make sure you are taking it to the right place. Make sure that the shop gets the gel materials right from BCB so that the match is perfect. For the bad news, it will be a labour intensive job, and, consequently, very expensive.

If you are within a days drive of Mt Home then Gary is your only real choice. He can fix anything. His shop is setup to handle anything and youll never know it happened. He fixed a T-post incident for me that looked ugly before and couldnt be spotted afterward. He did it without re-spraying the entire thing.

Sorry to see wounded Cat. Will be a couple sleepless nights for sure. However you are lucky it was glancing blow and not lower unit/transom. Good glass shop can repair and look like new. Call insurance and get references for glass repair.

Im 8 hours from Home base ( Mountain Home) and am willing to take a trip if needed to make it right. Ill contact my Dealer in the morning to make arrangements. Thank all for the posts to allow me to sleep a couple hours tonight.
