Bass & Walleye Boat

Appears another victim of the economy has gone by the wayside. Have not received an issue since March/April, so I called a number I found in last issue and was greeted with " Camping Life how may I help you" I advised I was calling BWB, nice lady advised BWB was no longer in business. She gave me a number to call that went unanswered. I guess good bye to a very good magazine. Mackey

I wondered the same thing. Hadnt got a magazine in a few months, but got a renewal notice this week. Im having a hard time sending off my renewal since I never got all my issues.

I recently recieved an issue with a Bass Cat Cougar FTD on the cover and a nice article in it. All it says is Summer 2009. I have been pretty displeased with the content of late though. Not alot of bang for my buck if you ask me. I dont like paying for a subscription thats supposed to be 10 issues and only getting 6 or so, especially without some type of notice stating a reason for the change. I plan on letting the folks know at BWB how unhappy I am with that. I do look forward to getting my issues in case there is a Cat in the content. Ive been a subscriber since inception and hope they can keep the ship righted. Great numbers on the Cougar by the way. All around great package with Top speed right at 80 and killer mid-range with a very good hole shot. Pretty impressive if you compare to others tested. There were only a few people that wrote a good article in it. It used to be a thick mag that had tons of info and not so many ads but you could tell they were needing money when it got really thin but full of ads.

Today Rick had a conversation with the Editor, and apparently the BWB publication is being sidelined until better times. The issue with the Cougar FTD on the cover will be the last one until the economy refocuses. They were unable to justify the cost at the level of return. It was mentioned that they were considering integrating a Bass column into the publication that will be supplemented in place of BWB.

I havent received the copy with the CAT so I guess Im left out on that also !!! Wonder what happens to the two years I have left on current subscription ????

That is to bad as it was the only boat publication that I enjoyed reading. I guess it is only fitting they went out on a cat.

Again, they will be supplementing another publication, Trailer Boats was scheduled and including a section on bass boats in that magazine in future issues.

Too bad…B & W Boats is best magazine I have ever read, also had subscription renewal request as have had since inception. How can they do that when they are no longer putting out the publication? Could care less about Trailer Boats magazine as they do not specialize in bass boats. Wonder what they do with the money they have already for future issues that we have paid for?
