This is a free plug for the 100mph style full size life jacket. I quit wearing an inflatable due to the non opening issues over the last few years and BCBs recommendations. The saying about old pilots and bold pilots caught up with me last month when I crashed my Cat during a tournament. I made a driving error while getting set to pass another boat during a tournament and bowhooked my FTD, ended up getting ejected at 60 plus. My partner and I were both wearing full lifejackets, we skipped along the water and were both uninjured. I came out of the drivers seat and went out the passenger side, the BCB life jacket absorbed the impact completely. My boat did not fare as well, so Im in a T boat for a year or so until I find a Lynx. Please consider this when choosing what to wear, I think it saved us from rib type injuries as well as popping us right back up.
I bought them for my son and myself and really like them. They are very comfortable and I know they will work. We still wear the inflatable Mustang vests some during this summer heat, mostly during the weekdays with very little traffic.
Mustang and Stearns both have a quality product in performance vests. The issue on colors is volumes in the post recession time frame for a custom build and colors. They just now are relaxing their volume requirements and we are working on the numbers now. We have a thought on the color and we hope to continue working in that to fit more versatility. We just havent had the volumes required to do so. BCB
I have a Mustang inflatable vest. I do wear it sometimes while fishing from the front deck, if its rough out. I always wear the regular BCB Mustang vest when running. Glad yall are okay Mike.
