Bassmaster online Magazine: Yamaha 175 SHO Video from BassMaster

The four stroke performance wave is maturing with Yamaha 175 SHO. Read the article below the video on Bassmaster magazine. I can see why the 175 SHO was hitting north of 71 mph on GPS and had to be detuned on the SabreFTD. I have a Merc 150hp 4 stroke on my Sabre FTD and with 2 guys, & a full tank of fuel I have seen 62.2 mph on the GPS. For my situation the fuel mileage is a wash. I just dont run miles on the lake. I do drive Miles to get to the lake. I need a Hybrid to tow with. LOL!!! If I buy another boat I will more than likely go with a Pro XS, but I am sure the new Yammy is a nice motor.Dan

Dan,The150 Merc by yours and many others testament is an outstanding motor. Four stoke technology is the future. I liked to see Merc come out with a 175 four stroke. Its not a matter of if but when they do. The irony is little over a year ago 175s were all but dead as well as 225s…. I guess in hindsight there is a niche for everything.
