Thanks Joey, but Im looking to cut everything off, outboard included.BCB – In the FAQ section about battery drainage, you guys reference the following cutoff switch:/M37/44090/TOP%20MOUNT%20BATTERY%20DISCONNECT/ I went down to Camping World, which is not far from this office, and picked up this exact switch. I got in the truck and looked at the product literature, and found that this switch is not appropriate for use in a boat. The surge capacity of this switch is only 750 amps. My Optimax requires 1000 MCA or 800 CCA per page 64 of the owners manual. The required battery amperage is above the operating capacity of this switch. Also, in a big boxed note on the back of the package, the manufacturer states “This switch is not intended nor recommended for marine use”.I also saw where someone stated that this switch should go on the positive side of the battery. The switch manufacturer had a diagram on the back of the package indicating it was to be used on the negative side.Maybe Im completely wrong and the FAQ is very appropriate, but from what I saw, I dont think so. Thought I should for sure say something since Ive studied this now since beginning this thread.
