Nice.  I don’t see why you can’t mount under the bridge.  Just pick the side you can reach from the ground so you don’t have to climb up to reach it (I’m short, I can’t reach mine without a step up).  When you drill, start off with drill in reverse to get through gelcoat for cleaner hole and prevent cracking.   Then drill as normal.  I have a main/jump switch for main power and a second one for power poles in addition to the one that came with boat mounted on battery.  Watch for charger plug wire under bridge.  At least, that’s where mine was on my Caracal  pre STS.  Good luck.

I would try some construction adhesive first. That stuff is really strong, but if it did not hold then drill. Really nice set-up by the way!

No need to drill the gel coat.  Like Glenn mentioned above, construction adhesive, like PL2 is cazy strong. What I have done in the past is cut a piece of starboard to size, and use the PL2 adhesive to fasten it underneath in the compartment.  Clamp it in position for 24 hours. Then just screw your panel to the starboard. I have done it several times and never had failure of the adhesive.

Thank you for the replies.  I like the adhesive idea better than drilling. BCB used a black adhesive or sealant to help secure the factory battery trays down.  It was very strong yet a bit elastic.  Does anyone know what it is?

Factory uses Euroflex. Won’t be as strong as construction adhesive.

As long as you believe you will never have to remove panel adhesive can work and saves drilling.

The Euroflex was very strong/tough it might not be as strong as construction adhesive, but I believe it will be adequate and removable.  I think it will cut with braid if I want to remove it.  I will give a try and follow up with the results.

Sure didn’t expect it to be that difficult to find.  Does anyone have a place to buy the euroflex.  I found something called eurobond.  No place to buy that either.

I would try Velcro first as I have used it before with no issues and easy way to remove the item if needed.

I ordered the uroflex from BCB.  I think Velcro could work especially since the mounting flange on the bracket has a large surface area.  I’m going the test the uroflex on a few pieces of extra material that have first.
