BCB – Jack Plate Height moving from Fury 3 to Fury 4
I have a 16 Cougar AE with 2- 8 Power Poles, 3 batteries, 36 gallon fuel capacity. I am currently running the 26P Fury 3 on my Merc 250 ProXS with a 8" Jack Plate (JP) with the prop shaft 3" below pad (it can go higher). I reside in the northwest corner of South Carolina. I have run out of RPMs with the 26P Fury 3. It really needs the 27P Fury 3, or go to the Fury 4. I am swtiching to a 26P Fury 4 (received it yesterday!) My question is, I thought that I saw it stated by BCB before that when moving to the Fury 4, the recommendation was to move your JP up a 1/2" - am I recalling correct or was that my imagination :-)?Thanks in advance for the help!
