We are handling these on a case by case basis for approvals and will follow up on yours. BCB
BCB,On a sublimated shirt, I am going to go thru Gemini to get mine done. I am placing my company in the primary sponsor postitions on the shirt (Chest, arms, back). If I put the BassCat logo on the upper left chest, is that sufficient to meet the requirements of the Quest program?Im just fishing a B.A.S.S. weekend series division and a BFL series division. I wouldnt want to loose any potential Quest money because I didnt meet your requirements for logo presentation.Charles
This is a whole new issue and we understand everyone wanting their own custom shirt. For now we are going to suggest our logo be presented as a 10% oversize from BCB clothing, or compliance with the Hat regulation. The issue is not existing on Elite anglers are we approve much of their clothing prior to the competition. We have no fees for a new boat on Quest, and you do not have to pay a fee to join our members group every year. Some of this we gain return through clothing sales. Granted that amount is limited, though it still adds to our income as everyone tries to comply with Quest regs. In the future we may eventually charge a fee for clothing use of the logo on a per item basis. That is our first thought. Obviously we definitely would like our logo out there, and want you all to be in compliance with Quest. Though we too need to fund the program with every resource we can muster. We are going to authorize these on a case by case basis and unless this changes we will have no fee at this time. Eventually we may revisit that. BCB
Charging an angler a fee……to advertise for you….. doesnt seem right. This doesnt sound like the BassCat I thought I knew.Isnt the billboard that a professional fisherman, or pros boat, or pros tow vechicle is……as an advertising vehicle…the very thing that Professional bass fishermen sells in order to make a living? It is my feeling that displaying the logo of any company on me is to their benefit. It doesnt do anything at all for me.Dont get me wrong……I love my BassCat, this forum, and all of the help you guys provide…..I am proud of all of that……but I also understand the value of advertising. It is something that I should sell to you….not something I will pay for. The Quest is a great program……it pays and angler for advertising for BassCat boats…..but only if he ALSO wins a tournament. Understanding the value of advertising, I think BassCat, or any other boat company, is getting one heck of a deal.
I give away vinyl stickers of my company logo for folks to apply to the rear window of their trucks …. I look at it as free advertising … plenty of folks want them .. sometimes they are hard to keep up with as I run out of them frequently.
How do you get the form for the EPS File?
cb2structural,Well said, right on brother!Turbo2000,Exactly!But after you have explained differently BCB, it makes sense!James
Nope, some of you are going to charge us! And many of you have… To the tune of several Benjamins last year. Well, while we understand the feelings, and expected none the less. In reality we have the only Owners Incentive program that does not charge the original owner for that perk. Others have an annual fee every year, while we have no first time owner fee now. And yes you are in fact charging us for that exposure. Somehow we try to gain a bit of these fees in our clothing, and we are working on this guys. Though the logo is a part of that program, and the shirts with that are a part as well. We have not said that we are going to charge for the logo at this time. Though it does take time to send files, find the ones you want, and provide them to you. And GM doesnt send the “Bow Tie” files out for clothing, unless you are sponsored, which we do as well on the BCB sponsored folks. We can not reproduce those Yamaha, BRP and Mercury Logos unless you are sponsored. So we fall under these same rules. For those companies who reproduce our logo on a sublimated die jersey, we receive no kicker. And no company has the rights to openly reproduce that logo without permission. Most embroidery shops will tell you that on any logo. The sublimation company receives and makes a profit for the shirt you had made, though BCB does not in this case. So thus some of our Quest funding is lost. Which we are trying hard to not charge an annual fee on, to those original owners. The Owners Tournament is the only one which has no required fee, and the Quest program has no required fee. You get both of these perks when you buy a new boat, and one (OI) just by being a registered owner. Sure we have an optional entry fee for the Owners Invitaional, though it is paid out fully. 20% or so chose to not enter that last year and BCB reaps nothing from that entry. We are considering some improved options for this, though for now we dont have those answers and wont for some time. It will be under review by those parties that be. BCB
Why couldnt the EPS file be available as a download from this site maybe under the Quest Program Section as a requirement to be eligible for the Quest program the BCB logo and certain attire would be required. That way it would not require anyone form BCB to be tied up with continually sending the file out to individuals. I for one will be purchasing a couple of the new style shirts with my company logo and would love to have the BassCat Logo on my shirts as well!! Just a thought!!
