BCB question

This has to be broken not just loose if this is the same kind that is in the 08 Cougar FTD. Im sure it is held by two screws. I wouldnt think both screws came out at the same time. You need to go back and see if the two screws are still in place. Glynn

Yes, it is screwed up under that area. In all the years we seldom see one of those knocked down, and most dont even know it is there. You should be able to remount it. Someone probably big footed it under there. Though it is tucked back out of the way pretty well. We probably will be dropping that panel in the 2010 model year. If more would have recognized it we would have retained it. BCB Admin.

I really like having the panel there, I dont use the light but I do use the 12v plug. Everytime out for my hand held gps it beats spending money batterys or having to swap out rechargables ones. If you do drop it, I hope you add a 12v plug under the console.

After a closer inspection, it is snapped clean off. When I first looked at it hanging I thought it was a flat pannel (which is why i thought it was “glued”). It appears to HAVE BEEN a 90 degree pannel that is now flat with the top half securely screwed to the bottom of the console and the other half hanging by the wires. Yes BCB I do have big fat foots, so big I cant get them past the hot foot to reach where the pannel hung. I bought the boat new from a dealer about a year ago and I am pretty sure the boat had seen a boat show or two before I bought it, so who knows how it may have happened. Can I just get the bracket and try to relocate the plug, light and circut breaker or get the pannel with everything in place and hook up the leads. All I really want is the 12 volt plug to work. Anyone know of a 12 volt fused plug setup I could attach under there (using on of the screws the “other” half of the pannel is still attached with)? Thanks JimYour Signature …

We dont have just the angled panel, as it comes preloaded the way purchasing buys it.

Not sure what you mean there NELACAT. The panel will presently be under dash, and the 12 volt plug is same as before on the side of the deck.

I doubt it will later become an add-on. If I recall correctly its too long and the space in the rear of a Cougar/Puma is not large enough to store.

It is too long at this time, though we are working on that as well. If it is offered, it would be an option. Lots of $$$ for this feature and part of what a Jaguar is. BCB

You can buy one at Amazon.com Put 504-1200-1 in the search area and it comes up. It cost $129.56 plus shipping for the 48″. It is sold by ATAFA what ever that is and it is called Innovativelight LED powerlight. The add doesnt say how short it is when retracted. They also have a 60″ light.
