Most prefer up to 6 lights per side, though we have seen 4 be adequate when positioned well. Others will surely share their experiences with the distribution of light. BCB

I have 3 per side installed when I ordred my Sabre.To be honest you need 6 per side to to handle night fishing.I added extra,now my boat looks like a space ship going down the lake at night

My Cougar came with just 3 on each side. I cant even tell they are on unless I lean over and see the light fixture. They dont put out enough light to be worth the trouble. I was wondering if additional lights would be worth it. How hard or easy is it to install additional lights?

The lights I added are dome lights with ceramic inserts where I run a high watt blacklight bulb all off of an inverter.I made some clamps that hold them secure and I can adjust them at different angles.You are right about the stalker lights,you can not tell they are on but people see them from shore.One of the best things I have found is the blacklight you can strap around your hat sold at BPS,you can keep your line glowing all the time with flourecent line of course

I just finished installing a Night Stalker kit on a customers new Cougar FTD..I installed 4 per side..I think the key is factor is keeping all the wire splices/connections staggered out and as small as possible so the rub rail insert isnt “bumpy” when done. If you want to do it Id be happy to help walk you through it..Sherm

Actually, we run those splices in the boat and not in the rub rail, thus there are no bumps. Only the wires run in the rail if desired. BCB
